Local Attractions • Lake Steamers (1 km)- Take a ride on a lake steamer for an informative tour of Lake Windermere.
• Lake District (less than 1km)- Visit Elim House and you are right at the heart of the beautiful Lake District. Take a bus tour, steamer ride or drive yourself.
• Aquarium of the Lakes (8 km)- Travel by steamer on the lake or take a leisurely drive to this interesting attraction about the waterways of the local area and its inhabitants.
• Beatrix Potter Attraction (1 km)- Watch a video on the life of this authoress and then browse the friezes of some of the characters of her best known books. Stroll around the gift shop and eat in the cafe. |

By road: Turn left off a591 onto a5074. Follow the road for approximately 1 mile. Please note we are not elim bank hotel, or elim lodge. Turn left at Bowness lighting shop, which is the second road on the left past the police station. Elim House is the first house on the left hand side on Biskey Howe Road. On-street parking on this road has no restrictions. If you cannot find a parking space, please park opposite, and we will advise on private parking on registration. On foot: From the railway/bus station, turn left and follow the main road down through Windermere for approximately 1 mile. Turn left at the Bowness lighting shop; we are the first house on the left.

• In the event of a no show or a cancellation with less than 0 days notice prior to the date of arrival, an amount equivalent to 100% of the total booking value will be charged

CANCELLATION POLICY: Reservations must be cancelled 7 days in advance of your arrival date.
In the event of a no show or a cancellation in breach of this policy, the cost of the entire reservation will be charged.
The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
CHILD POLICY: Children older than 7 years are considered adult for room occupancy.
COMMENTS: Elim House is now a non-smoking establishment. The rates displayed are per room (not per person) and are inclusive of breakfast, vat and service. Children over 10 years only - full adult rate. Minimum two night booking at weekends. Minimum three night booking at bank holidays. Late check-ins, i.e. after 10pm, must be agreed prior to arrival. Guests wishing to settle accounts with credit card only will incur a surcharge of 3%. Elim House is not suitable for young children or babes in arms. We are sorry, but we do not accommodate children under ten. Please note that a valid credit/debit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation. A deposit of one night's stay will be deducted from your card at time of booking. Should you need to cancel or amend your reservation, there will be no cancellation fee, provided it is made seven days prior to arrival.
